This book tells the story from the point of view of Mathilda, who is on her deathbed. It tells us about her father's confession about his love for her, followed by his suicide by drowning; or how her relationship with a young poet named Woodville fails to mend Matilda's emotions or prevent her lonely death.

To The Lighthouse is a novel by English writer Virginia Woolf, first published in 1927. It tells the story of the Ramsay family and their trips to the Isle of Skye in Scotland, where they are joined by friends such as the young painter, Lily Briscoe, and the poet Augustus Carmichael. With the plot playing a secondary role to emotions and philosophical musings, most of the book is written as thoughts and observations, with very little actual dialogue. The book is in three parts, the second one taking place ten years after the first, and the third one taking place ten years after the second. There is no main narrator, instead, the book is told through the perspectives of each character's consciousness, shifting from one to another, sometimes in mid-sentence.
An iconoclastic ecopoet who has led the way for many young and emerging artists, Brenda Hillman continues to re-cast innovative poetic forms as instruments for tracking human and non-human experiences. At times the poet deploys short dialogues, meditations or trance techniques as means of rendering inner states; other times she uses narrative, documentary or scientific materials to record daily events during a time of pandemic, planetary crisis, political and racial turmoil. Hillman proposes that poetry offers courage even in times of existential peril; her work represents what is most necessary and fresh in American poetry.
"Hillman's work will find a ready audience in poets of her own generation, as well as those younger poets following in her footsteps, in whose hands the category of 'ecopoetry' has exploded, sporelike, into countless unnamed species."
and they contain many of the themes that later appeared in his best works. The poet himself afterwards stated that his letters contained part of his creative genius, making this volume essential reading for scholars, poetry lovers, and anyone with an interest in Rilke, German poetry, or the creative impulse. 2ff7e9595c
